Kevin Tillett served as an aviation electronics technician in the US Navy for 24 years. Near the end of his Navy career the Lord led him to apply for service in missionary aviation with Wycliffe Bible Translators at the JAARS Center. Kevin retired from the Navy in 2004 and moved to Waxhaw, North Carolina, in 2005. He and Gale completed cross cultural training in February 2006 and Kevin began working as the JAARS flight coordinator the very next day!
After four years of service in this capacity, sensing an even greater strategic need, and with the advice and consent of JAARS aviation leadership and their sending church, the Lord directed Kevin to serve as the Wycliffe Military to Mission Recruiter.
Kevin’s heart-felt burden is to meet and encourage those believers transitioning out of the military who are called by the Lord to employ their administrative, linguistic, managerial and technical skills in support of the vital global task of Bible translation.
