Woody McLendon Woody is currently located at JAARS, serving as Vice President of Organizational Strategy for JAARS and overseeing the web development team. He's also serving with the SIL Communications team working to redesign the SIL.org website. He and his wife, Mary, joined Wycliffe in 1992 as Bible translators and served several years in Niger, West Africa, along with their three daughters. Before Wycliffe, Woody worked as a software/systems engineer building software for medical laboratory instruments, then later in software projects for NASA. They came to JAARS in 2001. Woody has been involved in many IT projects to help JAARS, Wycliffe and SIL staff globally to work together better: our secure international email system, collaborative wiki, Google search appliance, wide area network architecture and network security. He's also been able to help install high speed satellite Internet access in Central Africa. Previously he was vice president of IT at JAARS, overseeing Engineering, Customer Support, Infrastructure and Project Management teams. |
