Hank Scott

Hank joined Wycliffe in 1997 after working for several years in the IT field for a large utility company. His first assignment with Wycliffe was network manager for Wycliffe USA’s headquarters in Orlando, Florida, where he designed and installed the network for the new campus. After a few years he took on the role of technical services manager, leading a small group of network and systems specialists who maintained Wycliffe USA’s networks and corporate systems. This team addressed various projects, which at their time, were cutting edge including secure wireless networking, Smartphone deployments, VPN usage for remote staff, various network and server upgrades and infrastructure development for Wycliffes new enterprise systems.

In 2006 Hank and his family moved to Waxhaw, North Carolina, to begin serving at the JAARS center. He is currently the director of development for SIL Global Technology and Information Services. This distributed team focuses on developing and deploying solutions to enable our worldwide staff to effectively use technology in their work. The team provides services in application development, project management, and engineering disciplines—specifically network, electrical, and communications engineering.
