Jo Shetler Jo joined Wycliffe after college, anticipating and periodically dreading God's call-to-missions since childhood. She majored in Christian Education at BIOLA and then took School of Missionary Medicine. She was assigned to the Balangao project along with Anne Fetzer Hopkins and did the New Testament there. She's seen almost half of this group of former headhunters come to the Lord and now they're very active in their outreach. Currently she's involved in the Old Testament translation, working "long distance" out of Waxhaw, NC, making trips to the Philippines. She's looking forward to when she and her co-worker can return. Jo feels she can defeat anyone, hands down, when it comes to kinds of "exotic" foods she's been served--but she still likes steak and ice cream the best. |
